These are pretty cool. If you can get beyond the fact that the music is extremely methodical and technical, it’s at least visually stimulating and cool to see some kind of visual representation of some of the world’s most exquisite musical masterpieces. Check out the Music Animation Machine here.   And a different aesthetic to this one;

Randy Pausch

February 25, 2008

Take a few minutes to watch this video. If you’re not moved by it, or at least a little inspired by it, then maybe you should take a few minutes to re-evaluate who you are. Just sayin’….  Thanks CC for passing this along, and thanks to Miller Jones for passing it along to him.

Yes We Can

February 23, 2008

My guy Obama is on the grind lately. I was on the fence with the candidates for a long time, but after the last few rounds of debates and what-not, I find myself wanting this dude to be my Prez. I do think this “Yes We Can” vid is kind of wacky though. Thoughts?

One Hip Little Dude

February 23, 2008

Hey All. Been a quick minute– seems to be a trend with me. Anyhow, everything on this end is absolutely splendid. Loving the new digs, new job, new scenery, etc. Been working a lot, but it’s definitely stuff I want to be spending my time doing!  More on that later– maybe. On a completely unrelated note, this little dude is super on point. Check him out below singing Hey Jude. His little accent is priceless…

Theme Songs by Alex

October 25, 2007

This is so hilarious, I couldn’t NOT post about it. Please enjoy watching Baby Alex sing some TV show theme songs…. so good. You can view the whole collection at his Youtube page here.

Ingrid Michaelson

October 9, 2007

Chances are, you’ve all heard the music of Ingrid Michaelson without even knowing it. She’s the woman behind the “sweater” song being featured on the new Old Navy commercials, and her songs have also been featured on Grey’s Anatomy. I really enjoy her music and the texture of her voice. Plus, her album Boys and Girls has been on constant repeat on my ipod for the past week– that’s a solid sign for me that an artist is legit. Check her out, buy her album on itunes, and take a listen to her song “The Way I Am” below;

Keo

October 7, 2007

I know I’ve been a terrible blogger lately (or the last two months). But I’m back and ready to fill y’all in on the chaos that has been my life. However, before I get into all that I need to share this crazy video with all of you.

This guy is unreal. We’ve all seen the bike videos where, even though we can’t do anything remotely similar, we still only find ourselves wow’ed by a few tricks and the rest is just boring. This video is nothing like that– this Keo guy is ridiculous. I’ve never seen anyone else do stuff like this on a bike– insane. Watch and enjoy.

Chromeo @ Sing Sing!

July 23, 2007

So last Friday was the 1st Anniversary of Sing Sing, at The War Room and it was quite the night ladies and gents! It got started off right with Pretty Titty & FOURCOLORZACK holding it down. Then on to Flosstradamus and finally ending with an amazing performance by Chromeo. They are so dreamy. Anyhow, it was quite the night if I may say so myself, and I haven’t danced that hard in a long time! Team Savory (with the lovely Shelbs and JR) were out and in full force, and we definitely managed to be completely on point and completely out of pocket all at the same time. We’re amazing like that. There were lots of shots, donkey punches, year 2000 playlists, KA’ing, and “if you aint got no money take your broke ass home” yelling spouts. It was outrageous, and a small sampling of pics can be seen here. More photos to be posted soon.

Scootas Revisited…

July 23, 2007

So most of you probably saw this youtube clip back when it was posted over at Publikhair.com. BUT, I laugh at it everytime I see it, so I thought I’d give it some more blog time– and I needed to shout out Anthony for providing the inspiration to blog tonight. You guys will definitely be the first ones invited to the NASCC…when and if they have one, haha. I’ll let you wrap your brains around that acronym on your own, haha. Anyways thanks Anthony & Kyle for the chuckles. You’re the best super homosexual friends a girl could have!

Blair– I have no song requests for you tonight, you know how to bring the house down so do your thing. Thanks for letting me hang-out and play with your cats, causing my right eye to itch and swell. See you tonight.

The other evening I had quite the video duel with one of my internet friends Kyle. He reminded me of just how many wonderfully awkward videos I have been saving up to use in the perfect situations. Here is one that came in quite handy when comparing work-out routines with another dope internet friend. Enjoy.

Rob & Big

May 25, 2007

Love these guys, and here’s one more reason why…

At some point I hope to see these fools in real life, how funny would that be?

Apparently Spike Lee is now directing commercials– go figure. Check out this ad he directed for New Era;

I think Spike should stick to starring in commercials;

Yes, this actually happened on American Idol last night…

The jury’s still out for me on this one…

Lip Gloss

May 25, 2007

Where can I get me some of that Lip Gloss?! Lil Mama’s bout to drop a cosmetics line– I’m calling it. This vid is hilarious to me, I don’t even know what to make of it. But I guess it’s better to have a 17 year old rap about her lip gloss than the wide spectrum of other shit she could be rapping about? Enjoy the vid if you haven’t already seen it;

And if you still want more, here’s a better look at the little lady;

3-2-1….

CONTACT! Loved this show, and now I love it even more! Check out this fantastic clip! Thanks to A Daily Dose of Architecture… golden.
