Thank you to everyone who made it out for my going-away get together at 611 last Saturday! It was great to see all of you under the same roof– very reminiscent of summertime. And wonderful to see your faces one last time before I migrated South for the winter. Here are a few flicks from the night, courtesy of Salts’ flickr page. Super fly, huh? Haha. SO, I figured if The Pubs can get lighters– Fresh P can get skatedecks and graphic T’s, right?! hahaha. SIKE. Steven over at Trickwood (go visit their online store and buy some stuff!) brightened my afternoon by sending over some fake mock-ups for Fresh P merchandise. How funny is that? haha. So don’t worry, I’m not seriously hocking merch over here! But thanks Steven– you’re my favorite.

A weekend in the PDX

I spent last weekend in PDX chilling with the family and some homies just bumming around and sleeping a lot. I hadn’t been home since before Spring break, so the moms was pretty happy I came home– and I was equally happy when she offered to cook, clean and do my laundry for me. haha. Some highlights included spending some time downtown bumming around, watching movies with my mom, going to a ghetto breakfast at Ihop with my folks, and spending a night at Oscars playing shuffleboard with the boys– James, Dubbs, Kevin & Tiger Woods, haha. It was pretty relaxing, and although I didn’t blog as much as I’d hoped (I didn’t blog at all) I did get a lot of letter-writing done.

So last Friday was the 1st Anniversary of Sing Sing, at The War Room and it was quite the night ladies and gents! It got started off right with Pretty Titty & FOURCOLORZACK holding it down. Then on to Flosstradamus and finally ending with an amazing performance by Chromeo. They are so dreamy. Anyhow, it was quite the night if I may say so myself, and I haven’t danced that hard in a long time! Team Savory (with the lovely Shelbs and JR) were out and in full force, and we definitely managed to be completely on point and completely out of pocket all at the same time. We’re amazing like that. There were lots of shots, donkey punches, year 2000 playlists, KA’ing, and “if you aint got no money take your broke ass home” yelling spouts. It was outrageous, and a small sampling of pics can be seen here. More photos to be posted soon.

BUT, I laugh at it everytime I see it, so I thought I’d give it some more blog time– and I needed to shout out Anthony for providing the inspiration to blog tonight. No, this is not just a red bull can with a unicorn photoshopped on it, it’s for reals. My girl Salty C found this gem of an energy drink while google searching “Unicorn.” Now, I know what you’re thinking; “Can I drink this if I’m vegetarian?!” and don’t you fret! It’s completely sans animal biproducts, in addition to being kosher, approved by the Muslim Judicial Council of Malaysia and without wheat, gluten or dairy. This shit is the real deal. In fact, I think it needs to become the official drink of Team Savory– and French Dap is gonna work on getting us sponsored for a morgue.org tour… watch out. As soon as I get my hands on this stuff, you can catch me getting high on life.
