New Fresh Produce Merchandise for F/W!
October 26, 2007
Super fly, huh? Haha. SO, I figured if The Pubs can get lighters– Fresh P can get skatedecks and graphic T’s, right?! hahaha. SIKE. Steven over at Trickwood (go visit their online store and buy some stuff!) brightened my afternoon by sending over some fake mock-ups for Fresh P merchandise. How funny is that? haha. So don’t worry, I’m not seriously hocking merch over here! But thanks Steven– you’re my favorite.

Target Australia X Stella McCartney
July 23, 2007
Now, I’ve posted before about how I love this whole “High Fashion for the Masses” trend that’s going on right now– and I still do love it. BUT, I hate it when foreign countries get better access to cooler shit than we get in the states. Case and point– Australia’s Targets having Stella McCartney as part of their GO international line. Rubbish, I tell you! This was back in March that Target Australia launched a line with Stella, but all I’m asking is that you bring her to the US! Please?! Even if she did another line with H&M I’d be semi-satisfied. Here’s a look at some of the beautiful designs that I can only get on ebay….<sigh>
As a sidenote, I just switched perfumes to McCartney’s “Stella in Two Peony,” and it’s amazing. I love it.
Phillip Lim for Uniqlo
May 25, 2007
I’m a big fan of Uniqlo. I was first turned on to them during a visit to Japan in 2005 and quickly became an advocate when I was able to cop premium denim for 60 bucks. It wasn’t at all surprising to me that they had plans to break into the U.S. market. They’ve been doing some cool shit lately–including UNIQLO T-shirt (UT) and this collab with designer Phillip Lim. Lim’s line 3.1 launched in 2005 and his designs are asbolutely beautiful made with incredible fabrics, textures and cuts. His line with Uniqlo is no exception– I only wish I lived in a place where I could cop it! Check out some photos below;

Thanks to Faran at Fashionista for the photos! Chris– you know what to cop me from NYC now!
New Pick Ups
May 22, 2007
Made some hot new pick-ups today, and that makes me one happy lady! Got a sick little shirt, and a hot Patrick Robinson dress. I love the GO international line– and the “High Fashion for the Masses” trend going on. I was sketching the other day and virtually designed what this dress looks like– with a few modifications. So I literally couldn’t have designed a better dress myself (which is giving myself way too much credit, haha). It’s a little creepster to be posting pics of me wearing my new clothes, but it’s just too good. If everyone else can post their New Eras & sneaks, I can post my dress. Haha. Navy blue, umpire waisted, strapless mini/micro mini, with pockets! So fly. It also has a few different ways you can wear it, so I can switch it up depending on my moods. Love that. Feast your eyes;

I like…
May 8, 2007
…finding old things that I forgot I had, and then liking them again… like this shirt I got in Paris in 2002 by Lady Soul…

Afro-Chick or Afro-Chic?! Either way I found it tucked away in my closet… gold mine.
Things I like…
May 8, 2007
I’m about to start new categories for “Things I like,” and “Things I don’t like”… to start things off, here is something I like;

At first glance it may appear pretentious– but look past all that and you find a super quality product that’s well worth the extra initial capital. I’m not a make-up snob by any means, but there’s no denying that designer shit is on the next level. I’ve always been one to spend a little more dough on a quality product, and I never find myself disapointed when I front the cash for the nice make-up. This Chanel Nail Colour is the best there is- hands down. It’s shelf-life is infinite, you only need one coat (versus two with any other brand), and this stuff will literally grow out before it chips off. Unheard of. I love it, and you should too. You can buy it at Nordstrom and other retailers, but a tip to the wise– buy it from Chanel.com and theres no tax along with free sample gifts. Go straight to the source and you get the good stuff– like all monogramed Chanel packaging. It’s all about the presentation anyways, right?
Dear Futura Labs…

SO two years ago…
May 1, 2007
Will someone please tell Nigo that trucker hats were dead 2 years ago, and that his brand should have been too? Thanks. Needless to say, I’m not really a fan…

I’m a bum… with a Ballistic 20 pack
April 22, 2007
I’m a huge bum and haven’t blogged in a really long time- even though I claimed I would be posting photos soon. Let’s just say the career hunt, working two jobs and finishing school has really gotten to me lately. I apologize. Here are a few pictures of the backpack my brother gave me. My favorite features include a built-in neoprene sleeve for my Macbook, and a side zipper offering access to the main compartment when swung around to the side (most convenient if I may say so myself!). The features and attention to detail are beyond amazing. The pack is coated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) so it’s completely waterproof and the white color will remain. The leather on the bottom is also coated and will stay white as long as I don’t dip it in mud or spill red wine on it. Visvim makes a real tough ballistic pack, and I can’t wait to rock it. Thanks MJB.

This was a sample that I had my eye on since last summer! One of these days I’ll work a job where I can take care of my people like my brother does. Ipods just aren’t cutting it for me anymore
Birthday Goodies
April 14, 2007
It was my birthday this past week, and my brother (who lives in Tokyo) was able to come home to PDX for two days to visit and help me celebrate. He also came bearing gifts and his presents are always the best! One of the gifts was a beautiful black elkskin wallet, with a Nez Perce tribal design in white from his company. It’s almost like a modernist rendition of a Chanel monogram wallet- but I tend to think mine is cooler and much more beautiful! The leather is so soft, and the thing I love about elkskin is that it continues to get SOFTER the more you use it and wear it in. It came in a cute little box that looked like it should hold baby shoes. Here are some pics I took with photobooth while my camera battery charged. I’ll take better pictures later, and I might even stop being too lazy to crop them- I know you love seeing my nose and hair in every picture! Check out my Ribbon Elk Bi-Fold Wallet;

I also got a fresh new ballistic backpack, an antique hand-blown glass perfume bottle, and a gold owl necklace circa 1970 but I haven’t taken pictures of them yet. That will be coming soon, along with pictures from the SS07 line from my bro’s company. Thanks Matt, your gifts are the best!
Organic Cotton hits H&M
March 30, 2007

This isn’t breaking news. In fact I read an article about the H&M Organic Cotton line on Inhabitat in the beginning of March. I’m blogging about it now, because while I was in San Francisco last week I stopped in to H&M to inquire about the new organic line and was pleasantly surprised to find it had just been placed on the sales floor that day (a virtual goldmine in the quick turn-over world of H&M styles/sizes)! Living in Seattle, which is sans H&M until 2008, I jump at every opportunity to shop at one of my most beloved stores whenever I’m in cities that are home to one. I was very pleased with the line of organic and sustainable duds, and purchased a purple dress (pictured above), cute tunic-y gray cardigan, and a nice green colored tank. They are super soft and comfortable. I was also delighted to know that the line had been displayed two full days early, giving me first dibs at all the sizes! I love when stuff like this falls into place. It was an all-around fantastic trip, so I shouldn’t be too surprised. I also purchased a flashy sequined shirt that was apparently featured on the Today show- I’m just THAT good. haha.

I should also mention, that two days later the Madonna line “M” dropped at H&M, and I was utterly unimpressed. The only piece I liked from the Material girl, was a gold/white/gray sequin & beaded dress, that pretty much hung like a potato sack. However, I’ve heard it caused riots in other cities. Go figure! I was hoping to at LEAST make some purchases to flip on ebay, but nothing caught my eye.
Air Force 1
March 20, 2007
Found this little commercial over at Sneakerfiles.com, produced in France and made to demonstrate the timelessness of the Air Force 1. It’s kind of fun, and I like the Frenglish (I just made that up, but I think you know what I mean) at the end. Check it out;
