New spot from Nike dropped starring Pau Gasol, Rafael Nadal and Ronaldinho called Momentum. It’s done by Barcelona based Villarrosàs and even though it’s not a W+K spot like most Nike stuff we see– it’s oddly reminiscent of the Freestyle commercials. Thoughts?

It is kind of cool how it’s sort of got that underground Fight Club-esque feel to it though.

Spike Lee goes Commercial

Apparently Spike Lee is now directing commercials– go figure. Check out this ad he directed for New Era;

I think Spike should stick to starring in commercials;

New Mac Ads…

New Mac Ads dropped today and they are pretty stellar. When this ad campaign first started I thought for sure they would run out of things to highlight, but sure enough every commercial they make seems to be another winner. The new ads highlight the lackluster release of Vista & the existence of Genius Bars. Check them out online here. Or watch them below;

I’m a Mac

So everyone’s seen the hilarious “I’m a Mac, I’m a PC” spots done for Apple by Chiat. Well Apple’s been creating similar themed ads overseas, and they are quite funny. Here’s a random sampling of some of my favorites from the UK and also Japan.

Do Your Own Adventure with Sue Teller

Another oldy but goody. I came across these hilarious “ads” for Mountain Dew awhile back, and thought they were golden. I quote ads because to many its still unclear just whose behind these viral vids. After a little investigative research I found out that it is indeed put on by Mountain Dew in collaboration with L.A.-based agency 86 the Onions under creative director Chad Rea. Besides all that, the videos have hilarious appeal because it makes you wish Sue was your grandma. I mean who else could teach their grandkids how to make a mash-up or customize sneakers while sipping mountain dew and using slang like “word” & “na mean?” ? I must give props to “Sue” for her impeccible comedic timing and delivery.
